Preston Grammar School Old Boys

Alick Hadwen (Goodair 1949 - 1954) put a lot of time and effort in his later years into researching (among other interests) the military history of PGS Old Boys, accumulating huge amounts of data. The down side to his life was that he never accepted the importance and usefulness of modern information technology, and he kept all his records in paper form. The result was that when he died, unmarried and too early, in 2014, some of his work was accidentally lost (exactly how much will never be known).

On the bright side, he had already passed some of his material to the webmaster for inclusion on the website - the information in the Military Service records, for instance, is entirely his work. The documents below are the other items from his legacy which have been recovered so far. They contain a variety of data, some repetitive, some incorrect, and all awaiting further investigation.
